Terms of service

These terms summarize how the Tended service works. Each practice also signs a service agreement, which controls if the two differ.

Your domain and content

Your domain stays registered to your practice. Your practice owns the content it provides or approves for its site, including text, photos, logos, doctor bios and articles. When your plan ends we provide an export of that content and help point your domain to a new provider.

Our platform

The website design, templates, code and dashboard are our platform. We license them to your practice for use on your site while your plan is active. They aren’t transferred to you, including when your plan ends.

Plans and billing

Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance and include a one-time setup fee, charged with your first month, unless we’ve agreed to waive it. Yearly plans are billed for 12 months in advance, have no setup fee, and renew each year unless cancelled before renewal. Monthly plans can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice.

Change requests

Quick edits are unlimited. Custom requests are included up to your plan’s monthly allowance; work beyond it is quoted before we begin. Every change is previewed, approved by your practice and reviewed by our team before publishing.

Your content and claims

Your practice is responsible for the accuracy of its business and medical information. Any article or clinical claim requires written approval from your practice’s doctor. Don’t submit patient information through the dashboard.

No guarantees on rankings

We migrate carefully and report honestly, but we don’t guarantee search rankings, traffic or patient numbers.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the service to publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content, or to attempt to access another practice’s data.
